Mushrooms
Mushrooms have been gaining recognition in the mainstream for food, medicine, industry, ecology and its extensive role in life on earth. Mushrooms at WAS are featured on the pages On the Land and In the for Forest. However, a new page dedicated to mushroom and our explorations in foraging and cultivating mushrooms is here. We hopefully will be producing products for design and architecture using mycellium. It is an never-ending learning process so we will see where it goes.
Since we raise bees the research initiated by Paul Staments on the role mushroom play in bee health has been just another compelling reason to appreciate the magic of mushrooms. They continue to provide narratives in support of protecting and supporting diversity and working with nature.
