Notice of Upcoming Fall Burn:
Southern Iowa Oak Savanna Alliance will be doing a hands-on burn at Springer Woods in Decatur County in November or December, depending on weather conditions and availability of help
SIOSA will be doing management work on Springer Woods as a team effort project and everyone is invited to come and help and get hands-on experience with the burn. Notice will also be posted on the SIOSA website.
Springer Woods is located about 3 miles northwest of Decatur City. From Decatur City take R34 north to J34 (198th Street) then go several miles west. From the west take Hwy 2 to R26 (about 1 mile east of R18 junction). Go north on R26 to J34 then go east about a mile.
